According to the Albany Police Department, Gonzalez was riding his motorcycle northbound on Route 9 near the Northern Boulevard overpass on Wednesday evening when he lost control of the vehicle. Investigators said he was thrown from the motorcycle and struck a guardrail. Emergency responders arrived at the scene shortly after the crash, but Gonzalez sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead. Authorities have indicated the investigation remains ongoing.
