The Clackamas County, Oregon, community is mourning the tragic loss of Tara Jo Rae Deveny, 36, whose death has left family members, friends, and loved ones grieving. The heartbreaking incident has drawn widespread attention after authorities announced that her husband has been charged in connection with her death.
According to the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded just before midnight on Friday to a residence on South Kamrath Road near South Beavercreek Road after 35-year-old Markus Warren Bowen called 911 and reported that he had shot his wife, Tara Jo Rae Deveny. When deputies arrived, they found Deveny deceased inside the home. Bowen was taken into custody at the scene without incident.
Investigators said Bowen was later arraigned in Clackamas County Circuit Court on a charge of first-degree manslaughter. The investigation into the fatal shooting remains ongoing as detectives continue to gather evidence and review the circumstances surrounding the incident.
