SYRACUSE, N.Y. — The Syracuse community is mourning the tragic loss of Damarion Jones, affectionately known as “Poppa,” after the 16-year-old died from injuries sustained in a shooting Wednesday night near 198 Lincoln Avenue. According to police, officers were dispatched to the area at approximately 9:13 p.m. after receiving reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, they located two teenage victims suffering from gunshot wounds.
