Family members, friends, former classmates, coworkers, and the Fortville community are mourning the heartbreaking loss of Robbie Peters, who passed away on April 4, 2026, at the age of 24. Remembered for his infectious humor, competitive spirit, and unwavering loyalty to those he loved, Robbie leaves behind cherished memories that will continue to live on in the hearts of everyone who knew him.
Born on June 2, 2001, in Dubuque, Iowa, Robbie was the beloved son of Joshua Peters and Melissa Behnke. He later made his home in Fortville, Indiana, where he grew into a young man known for his kind heart, quick wit, and ability to make lasting friendships wherever he went.
Robbie graduated from Hamilton Southeastern High School in 2019 before continuing his education at the University of Indianapolis, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in 2025. Family and friends admired his determination to pursue both his academic goals and the hobbies that brought him joy.
Gaming was one of Robbie’s greatest passions. Under the online username “AcesAGamer,” he built friendships with fellow gamers from around the world while enjoying titles such as GTA V, Rocket League, and Rust. Those who played alongside him remember his competitive nature, playful sense of humor, and ability to make every gaming session memorable through laughter and camaraderie.
Outside the virtual world, Robbie had a deep love for soccer. He spent years playing goalkeeper with the Indy Premier Soccer Club before deciding to focus on his education. He remained an avid supporter of FC Bayern Munich, rarely missing an opportunity to watch matches, discuss the sport, or debate football with friends who shared his enthusiasm.
Robbie also enjoyed motorcycles and performance cars, appreciating both their design and the freedom they represented. For six years, he worked at Starbucks at Hamilton Town Center, where coworkers and customers came to know him for his honesty, humor, and vibrant personality. Ironically, despite working in a coffee shop for years, Robbie famously disliked coffee—a contradiction that became one of the many stories friends fondly recall when remembering him.
He is survived by his loving parents, his twin brother Jacob Peters, step-siblings, grandparents, extended family members, and a wide circle of friends whose lives were enriched by his friendship. Loved ones say Robbie’s greatest gift was his ability to bring people together through laughter, loyalty, and genuine kindness.
A celebration of Robbie’s life was held on April 11, 2026, at Seals Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Fortville, where family and friends gathered to honor his memory, share stories, and celebrate the remarkable impact he made during his 24 years of life.
Robbie Peters will be remembered for his infectious smile, generous heart, and the joy he brought to everyone fortunate enough to know him. Though his life ended far too soon, his legacy lives on through the memories he created, the friendships he cherished, and the love he shared with family and friends. Heartfelt condolences are extended to all who mourn his passing. May he rest in eternal peace.
